BEHAVIOR
CONSULTATIONS
-
Obtaining a history
of the animal
-
Understand the
inappropriate behavior as described by the owner(s)
-
Diagnose the problem,
treating any medical conditions that may be causing behavior
problems
-
Design a behavior
modification program to change the behavior. This will usually
include changes in the animals responding to stimuli, changes
in the animal's environment and, in some extreme cases where
fears, phobias, anxiety and aggression are genetically/
neruochemically based, the use of short-term drugs may be
prescribed
-
Instruct the owner(s)
as to how to implement the behavior modification program
-
Follow up the
progress within a reasonable amount of time
Sometimes a behavior
problem requires the expertise of a qualified animal behaviorist,
in which case, we would coordinate a behavior consultation with
the University of Pennsylvania Behavior Clinic. For more information

LIFE
STAGE CONSULTATION
The needs of your
pet are every changing and our goal here at Breton is to keep
your pet healthy from puppy hood through their golden years.
A very important part of your pets' annual veterinary visit
is a consultation about the specific needs of your pet in his
or her particular stage of life, lifestyle, and environment.
Everything from nutrition to behavior changes as your pet matures
and so should his or her health care. Through life stage consultations,
we are helping pets live longer, healthier and happier lives!
